Monthly Supportive Housing rooms are rented on a monthly basis and come equipped with a bar-size refrigerator and access to a shared kitchen. Monthly housing is often used by newcomers to Canada, individuals in transition, those fleeing unsafe or unstable housing, and individuals coping with issues related to physical/mental health or substance abuse.

Individuals using monthly housing have access to 24-hour on-site crisis support and referral services. The Y works closely with outreach services offered by Centretown Community Health Centre, Canadian Mental Health Association, and the Royal Ottawa Hospital.

Housing support staff work closely with the tenants to create an environment of mutual respect, support, and tolerance.
